Seasonal Wreaths at the Sacramento Farmers Market

While I was at the Sacramento Farmers Market, 8th and W Streets, underneath Highway 80, this morning I noticed a nice gentleman at a booth selling and promoting fresh, hand-crafted wreaths from local greens harvested from Plumas National Forest above Lake Oroville.  The wreaths he had on display were beautiful and very fresh. They come in three styles and three sizes. He also says he will do custom sizes to order. Prices ranged from $10. for a 20″ – 22″ wreath of Fir, Cedar Juniper and Manzanita to $40. for a 26″ – 28″ premium decorated wreath of mixed greens, with a mixture of pinecones, red berries, red chile peppers, apples, pomegranates, persimmons, blueberries, and rose hips. I thought the prices were very reasonable considering the quality and freshness. The holiday’s are right around the corner so if you want one of these beauties you’d better get your order in. The vendor said he will be at the Sunday market from now through the holidays. The market is open till noon today. They are open 8 – noon, Sundays, throughout the year.
